The Canterbury Tales The Reeve
by
Geoffrey Chaucer
The Reeve is a skinny man with a closely-shaved beard and short hair. He comes from Norfolk, and typically rides at the back of the company. He kept good track of the grain, crops, and livestock in his lord’s dominions, and he knew other people’s tricks so well that everyone feared him. He was also very good at picking up wealth for himself, and had a significant savings stashed away in his house. His skills include carpentry. He rides a fine dapple-grey horse named Scot and wears a long coat, but his dagger is rusy.
